About the Event

Join us with your tween/teen girl for this informative and fun event to learn more about how you can stay safe online. The event is recommended for girls ages 9-14 accompanied by their mother or other adult,

Taking advantage of their roles in Compliance/IT Information Technology Audit and Information Security, Michelle Creer and Cassandra Amos will review the importance of internet/social media safety and electronic device security. Ms. Creer and Mrs. Amos will comment on the increasing risks of teenagers and use of social media and connected devices as they highlight recent incidents. They will walk you through tips on securing your devices and apps, establishing rules for device usage at home and how to monitor your child's digital activities.

The girls will make a device storage box or crate to use at home. These are great for putting devices away during dinnertime or bedtime! There are several options to choose from.

Cost is $40 per family and includes the speakers, one device storage box/crate and light refreshments.
